YHA have 200 locations from converted mansions, castles, cottages, mills, heritage buildings. You can even stay in the bedroom that Bonnie Prince Charlie slept in or the old Hardware department of a converted 1860's Co-op building. All properties have been given a star rating by Visit Britain. Most have private smaller rooms, some with en-suite bathrooms, double or single beds, so you don't have to share. You can go self-catering, or have a cooked breakfast and evening meal, all food is locally sourced. Other accommodation available are camping, bunkhouses in rural locations, camping barns (camping without a tent), rent a tipi (with carpets, mattresses and a stove).
